College studies this fall… Sorting out some issues…

Hi guys, in the midst of working full-time at a logistics company and updating my website (it sure looks nice does it not!?) I thought it would be smooth sailing all the way to the fall when I would start college in Canada again.

Thursday I got a letter from CSN (Swedish Student Loans Board) saying that the program I wasaccepted to must be set-up with transfer options to a university so one could finish off with a Bachelor if I so wished. If the program didn’t have this, then they couldn’t fund the studies.

So after speaking the program coordinator at Medicine Hat College, I approached CSN and got hold of the guy that is responsible for all Canadian schools. He would look into it but ofcoz he was putting the blame on the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education who had the last say in this matter.

As a precaution I started looking for other options, other colleges that had that already set-up, I found these colleges:
(ordered in the order I found them and their location most attractive).

Kwantlen – Vancouver

Camosun – Vancouver Island

Keyano – Fort McMurray

I have a few options at Medicine Hat College but they entail a move after the first year of study to Lethbridge so I feel I rather start there right away instead then, if it would come down to that.

I hope it doesn’t, but I sent away a couple of emails to these programs just in case, to check availability and such so I don’t stand stranded this fall without a place to study.
