My mentor passed away today…

The man that have ment the world to me, he who showed me the path, he who showed me the light, when things were really dark in my life some 8years ago after my back injury. That man died today.

Mr Jim Rohn, I had the pleasure and was privileged to meet him three times in real life. But spent hours and hours and hours listening to his messages of how to become successful and how not to let failure get in our way.

I received the news from Herbalife’s CEO Michael O. Johnson.

Let us all send a thought to this mastermind, and thank him for his enormous contributions! Thank you Jim!!

Dear Stefan Martensson,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of our beloved Jim Rohn this morning at 2:30 A.M. in Los Angeles.

Jim occupies a unique and special place in Herbalife that is his and his alone.   In Jim’s last hours he was blessed with the presence of family and friends.  I know Jim’s impact on you and the spirit of our company will live forever.

The family plans to hold a small, private service, and we will hold a memorial for Jim in January. In lieu of flowers, the family has decided that Jim would be pleased to have donations made to the Herbalife Family Foundation in his name. We are opening a special tribute fund for that purpose

Our sincerest sympathy and love go out to Jim’s daughters, Cyndy and Lynda, to his grandchildren and to Sara Alfaro, his loving companion. If you would like to send a note of condolence, please use the email address and we will get those to the family.

Take a moment to hug your loved ones — Jim would tell us to cherish the time we have together. As he taught us: “Each of us needs all of us and all of us need each of us.”

Today we have lost a giant.

Michael O. Johnson
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
