Washington State Road Trip – Completed

It’s been a while, it’s also been ridiculously busy.

Last Thursday it was Remembrance Day. The Friday was a perfect opportunity to take of to make it a long weekend.

Update Camosun, Camping, Canada…

Greetings friends,

STATE PARK MT ST HELENS – MT RAINER NATIONAL PARK – SEATTLE – VANCOUVER

I headed northeast towards Mt St Helens National Volcanic Site and State Park, when I got to the visitorcentre it was all cloudy and they adviced me not to go up the LONG (>100km) drive up to see some gray clouds and then drive the same road all the way back… Read the rest of this entry »

REDWOOD STATE & NATIONAL PARK – CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK – COOS BAY – OREGON DUNES – PORTLAND

I am glad that I went to Sequoia National Park as well, coz Redwood State and National Parks was a bit of a disappointment. MONTERAY BAY – SAN FRANCISCO –

GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE – ALCATRAZ – FORT POINT – PRESIDIO – NAPA VALLEY

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

After leaving Camp25 at the coast, I followed Pacific Coast Highway north for another hour or so, went through Ventura where a friend studied a few years ago, to see the town she lived in and how things looked around there.

From Ventura I went due north-northeast, moving away from the coast Read the rest of this entry »

LA – Universial Studios – Hollywood – NBC Jay Leno – Santa Monica

LOS ANGELES – UNIVERSIAL STUDIOS – HOLLYWOOD – NBC JAY LENO TONIGHT SHOW – SANTA MONICA – BEVERLY HILLS – SUNSET BLVD

Not many other cities around the world are so hyped-up as the one I just came from and the one I was driving to next. Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

I stayed at the Adventure hostel, about 35min south of Hollywood. Nice comfortable place, more like a youth hostel than anything else, big pool and nice atmosphere all around. Read the rest of this entry »

ROUTE 66 – HOOVER DAM – LAS VEGAS

JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK – MOJAVE DESERT NATIONAL PRESERVE

“It’s the longest stretch left of the historic Route 66, I suggest you take it!” said the old lady in the information centre. So I did!

Listening to country music, rolling through the farming fields on this historic highway that everybody around the world have heard about… it was something! Read the rest of this entry »
